Here below a quick little YouTube video intro for the upcoming videos about the Tour de France 2019.
The plan is to follow and to document a few of the stages of the so called “Grande Boucle”, the biggest and most prestigious cycling event in the world. In this videos I aim to share my thoughts and point of view from a different prespective and hopefully to produce something enjoyable and somewhat interesting to the viewers.

After experiencing a lot of pain using a bike saddle that wasn’t good for me, the Selle Italia Monolink, I’ve decided to test another model but still giving a chance to Selle Italia as a brand. This new one to test is the Selle Italia SLR Superflow and it’s shaped with a major cut-out to allow ventilation as you ride. From Selle Italia’ website: “SLR Superflow L. The optimal sitting position on the toughest saddle
The sophistication and strength of the SLR range are combined with the benefits of SuperFlow technology to maximise your riding experience with an optimal saddle position.”
I haven’t used it for too long, but I can already say that it’s a much better design and comfortable saddle to ride, particarly at the moment, been summer and at 30*C the ventilation really helps.

Paola is a Guinness World Record holder for the fastest woman to cycle around the Globe. She has then gone onto achieve and complete several other long distance cycling events, including the Red Bull Trans Siberian Race.
So she can now be included in the ULTRACYCLIST‘s category.
Her book “Sognando l’Infinito” has received many awards and has been enjoyed by many whether they’re cyclists or not. Paola’s motivating motto #KeepBrave, tells you that anything is possible, if you set your mind to it and to follow your dreams and passions to achieve whatever you want in your life. The book is only written in Italian however, it is available on AMAZON : Paola Gianotti – Sognando l’Infinito
Paola is about to cycle all the Italian Stages of the Giro d’Italia 2018, one day ahead of the official race, to spread road cycling safety awareness all around Italy. See more images here on my FLICKR. She also ride this Giro to remember Alfonsina Strada, (16 March 1891 – 13 September 1959) who was an Italian cyclist, and the only woman to have ridden one of cycling’s three major stage races. She started in the Giro d’Italia in 1924 when the organisers mistook her for a man. Newspapers called her The Devil in a dress. Her racing career included an Italian record which lasted 26 years. She died aged 69 as she propped up her motorcycle after riding to a bicycle race.
I, Fabrizio Malisan @fabulouSport will be part of her team, where we’ll follow and support Paola Gianotti in her Italian Giro 2018 adventure. Please subscribe to this blog where I’ll give you regular updates on Paola’s progress or press LIKE ON:
Cycling no matter what.. regardless of the weather, the rain and the cold. The “problem” of cycling is that it’s quite addictive.. the more you do it, the more you feel like doing it.. so even if you are a fair weather rider like myself, eventually the need to go out on your bike becomes stronger than the lazy part of yourself, trying to find any excuse to stay in and relax on the couch, in front of the TV. I make these type of videos with the aim to encourage people to get out more, to go outdoors and enjoy outdoor activities. If you are a fan of football, rugby or a favourite tv program, you can always record it and watch it when you come back after your outdoor activity. I know it may not be the same as watching it live, but as long as you don’t hear about the score of the match..it’ll still be exciting to watch, or find the time to get outdoors before or after!! My wife Emma, here in the video, never cycled before we met, so if anyone’s interested in this topic, I’ll produce a video explaining how I got her to this level of cycling, so that we can enjoy doing outdoor activities together as a couple. Some people maybe prefer keeping their own hobbies or sports for themselves, or maybe they’ve tried to teach their partners without success, so I’ll explain ang give a few tips in how to get your partner into cycling, learning from the beginning, first easy rides, up to a good level of skills and fitness that enables enjoying great days out on a bicycle. Thank you for watching and reading, you’re welcome to LIKE, Share the video and to SUBSCRIBE to the youtube channel Fabulous Sport Outdoors.
